MICHAEL MITCHELL (Musical Director/Conductor), a musician/songwriter from St. Louis, has an eclectic style of playing pulling fromhis classical training, gospel roots, love of
jazz, and gift of God. This style has been enriched by his desire to learn, teach and travel. Michael obtained his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Music Business from DePauw University. He has performed extensively throughout NorthAmerica, Europe, and Japan. His Off-Broadway credits include Crowns and he was the Assistant Musical Director for Pure Gospel Valentine. Michael has taught throughout New York, St. Louis, Indiana, Japan, and Germany. He has performed and worked with Bob Mintzer of the Yellowjackets, Corey Glover – a 2 time Grammy winner, The Jim Widner Big Band, Lynn Ariale, Karen Shaw, and many others. Michael was also a percussionist with the American Musical Ambassadors European Tour and the John Phillip Sousa Band. He was a guest piano soloist for a live broadcast on Classic 99 radio station in St. Louis, MO. He is returning for his 3rd year as the Music Director of the North American Tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR starring Ted Neeley from Jesus Christ Superstar the motion picture. Also, he’s the Music Director for the ground breaking Jesus Christ Superstar Gospel.Michael would like to thank his
